I have found that the best part of having a parrot as a pet is that you will have a pet for life. Since the African parrot has a life span of 50-70 years – seriously thats as good as any life of us human beings.Your African Grey Parrot may even out live you so it may be wise for you to make provisions for him/her in case that happens but remember if you are lucky to have one of these special birds you may have a companion forever.So once again there may be no more tears after the pet dies,no more missing it so sorely after it dies.
From time immemorial, the African parrot has been considered as a hot favorite the world over as a pet. I Have found that there is no place in the world, where an African parrot will not fit in. To know the sex of your parrot you may have to have a very keen sense of observation or develop one.So we know that the males are largerand that they have round eyes and their white patches are quite large too; the females on the other hand are tiny, have elliptical eyes and her whites around the eyes are quite smaller than that of the male.
For all the many plus points, these onderful life long companions and good pets will usually come at the cost of about $500-1000. Now, if you are interested, you could push the bargain for a discount. However, it is unlikely and very rare that this bird will ever be found free.So therefore You may like to visit the pet markets of Africa if and when you are ever in their vicinity you might end up with a friend and companion for life – an African parrot one of lifes joys may just fall into your waiting arms to be loved and valued foreverI hope you enjoy your African Grey.
