As you can see this was a minimal attempt at a pigeon coop. In my day the pet market was very small and pet products were limited so we had to be fairly inventive when it came to our own pets and their housing. So this wooden, oblong box was an ideal pigeon enclosure at the time and for a 12 year old and I was quite chuffed with myself when I finished.

The pigeons never complained.

Of course there was chicken mesh wire on the front and I could open the top to clean it regularly.There were only six pigeons in it so not too cramped for them. Fortunatly the six never had any young while confined but once in coup 2 they made up for this.
